Large Group Exemption: Wedding Reception
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Wedding Reception of Kristy Burgess and Vaughan Joseph an event justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy- five persons assembling;
Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Thursday, September 17, 2020, between 3:00 pm and 8: 00 pm at ‘Sandymount’ 229 North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish.
Conditions:
- All persons attending the wedding and reception must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
- Event organizers to ensure physical distancing is enforced.
- Masks must be worn when moving about the venue.
- Maximum number of persons 125.
- Duration of event 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm
- Hand sanitizers and/or hand washing stations to be made available.
- The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe adherence to the conditions as prescribed above. .

Large Group Exemption: Funeral Repast – Troy Govia
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Funeral Repast for Troy Govia [Deceased] is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;
Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Friday September 4, 2020 between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm at the Somerset Cricket Club, 6 Cricket Lane, Sandy’s Parish with the following conditions:
Conditions:
- All persons attending the wake must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times.
- Number of persons permitted to attend event– 125 persons
- Persons must wear mask when not seated or moving around the venue.
- No more than 10 persons permitted to be seated at a table.
- Security to monitor and enforce COVID 19 Regulations.
- The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have right to attend and observe compliance of the conditions as prescribed above.

Large Group Exemption: Bermuda Football Association Charity Cup Football Match
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Football Association’s Charity Cup Football Match is an event justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;
Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [4] of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble Friday September 4th, between 6:30 pm and 10:30 pm at National Sports Centre, 65 Roberts Avenue, Devonshire Parish with the following conditions:
Conditions:
- All persons attending the Charity Cup Football Match must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times. [Players and match officials exempted from wearing masks during the match]
- Attendance of persons at match limited to 300 persons.
- Security / stewards to be on duty at match. To monitor and enforce physical distancing. [1 security guard per 75 persons as per Dept. of Health Guidelines – Mass Gatherings]
- Bermuda Football Association to record names of spectators for purpose of contact tracing. Names to be retained by the Bermuda Football Association for period of 28 days from date of match.
- Spectators must wear mask when moving about the venue.
- Hand sanitizing stations / equipment to be made available throughout the venue.
- Duration of exemption: 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
- The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security authorized to attend the National Sports Centre and observe for compliance of the conditions prescribed above.

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with section 32[1] of the Parliamentary Election Act 1978, that the nomination of candidates for the General Election, for all thirty-six [36] constituencies, will take place at Seventh-day Adventist Church Hall on King Street in Hamilton on Thursday, 10 September 2020 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
