Parliament: Order Of Business For November 6th
The House of Assembly will be in session on Friday [Nov 6], with the Convening of the Legislature and Throne Speech to be held in a special sitting in St George’s to mark the 400th anniversary of the first General Assembly being established in Bermuda in 1620.
This is the first sitting following the 2020 General Election, and the Order of Business states that the session will include: Clerk to read certified list of Members, Election of Speaker-Takes Oaths of Allegiance and of Assemblyman, Speaker administers Oaths to Premier and Leader of the Opposition, Speaker administers Oaths to Members of Parliament, and Deputy Speaker is elected.
