Graywolf Press To Publish Dr Wong’s Book

Bermudian author Dr Mandy-Suzanne Wong has signed with Graywolf Press, with the company to publish her second novel, The Box.

The Press says on their website: “In recent years, our books and authors have received significant national and international awards, including the Nobel Prize for Literature, the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, the Man Booker Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the National Book Award.”

Willenfield Literary Agency announcement, made via Twitter:

“Publishing with Graywolf Press is a dream come true for me,” Dr Wong told Bernews. ”I’m a born-and-raised Bermudian, still living on the Island. I’m the author of Drafts of a Suicide Note [published in 2019 by Regal House], which in 2020 was a literary fiction finalist for the Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Award, International Book Award, American Book Fest Best Book Award, and Eyelands Book Award.

“It was also a PEN Open Book Award nominee. The novel’s striking cover, designed in Bermuda by Dr. Heather Kettenis, won a 2020 NextGen Indie Book Award and an Independent Publisher Book Award.

“My first essay collection, Listen, we all bleed, will be published in 2021 by New Rivers Press at the State University of Minnesota, USA. All my books are available at their publishers’ websites, Bookshop.org, and your favorite ebook retailers, or you can ask our local bookstores.”
