Sailors Continue European Championships
Sophia Dias, Trystan Hocking, Riley Lowe, and Cody Rans all back in action with another two races in Spain competing in the International Optimist Dinghy Association European Championships.
In the Girls Division, Dias moved up 2 more places to finish the day in 84th, with 240 points, Dias finished the first race of the day and the seventh of the series in 14th, she would finish 38th in the second race.
Lowe came off the water in the 101st place spot up 1 place with 300 points, this after she finished 18th in the first race, and then was deemed UFD [a ruling where a boat is deemed to have prematurely started a race that is started under “U” Flag and is disqualified from that race and awarded the maximum number of points] in the second race.
In the Boy’s Division, Rans started the day in 138th, and he came off the water in the same spot with 227 points, he crossed the line 43rd in the first race of the day, before finishing 23rd in the second race of the day.
Hocking moved up two spots to 147th, with 249 points, he finished the first race in 48th, and then finished 30th in the second race of the day.
