Tropical Depression Two Forms In The Atlantic

June 14, 2021

Tropical Depression Two has formed in the Atlantic and the “system remains no threat to Bermuda,” the Bermuda Weather Service said.

BWS posted the photos below online, saying: “The BWS have been monitoring an area of low pressure to the very distant west-northwest which has become Tropical Depression Two at 12:00pm ADT.

“This system remains no threat to Bermuda as it moves off to the northeast over the next day or two. Below are images of the latest Tropical Update Bulletin and the latest satellite imagery for Tropical Depression Two.”

On a related note, with an aim to elevate our coverage of the hurricane season, Bernews has teamed up with Glenn Jones for a ‘Stay Ready Storm’ feature, which is set to begin at 8.00pm on Wednesday, June 16th, and we are pleased to say that BWS Director Dr Mark Guishard will be joining us for the live broadcast.
