15-Year-Old Male Injured In Stabbing Incident
Another stabbing incident has occurred, this time resulting in a 15-year-old male being injured.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service, [BPS], is appealing for the public’s assistance with the investigation into an assault, which left a fifteen-year-old male with a stab wound to the chest. Fortunately, the injury was deemed non-life-threatening.
“The incident was reported to police after the victim was taken to the Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Facility at Southside for treatment, around 5:30 p.m. on Monday 28th February, 2022.
“Details are limited at this time, but the incident is believed to have happened near the junction of York Street and Queen Street, St George, shortly before it was reported to police.
“Anyone with information on this incident is urged to get in contact with us by calling 211 the main police number, 295-0011 or, the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477. You may also provide any information you have regarding this incident, by speaking to a police officer with whom you are familiar.”
Detective Inspector Derricka Burns of the BPS Criminal Investigations Unit stated, “The growing incidence of crime involving bladed articles is concerning and impacts us all as a community. Please do your part to help make Bermuda safer, by coming forward and sharing any information you may have on this, or, any other criminal activity.”
This is directly across from the old police station and a known spot for strange goings on. Maybe we could rethink the idea of putting the police station back
