Bobb Breaks School Record At Championships
Bermuda’s Caitlyn Bobb capped off her season with a 17th place finish at the NCAA Championships, where she broke her school’s record in the 400m with a sub-52 second run.
Bobb competes for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County [UMBC] and their report ssaid, “UMBC track and field freshman Caitlyn Bobb capped off her historic rookie season with a 17th place finish at the NCAA Championships on Thursday night.
“Bobb reset her own school record in the 400m with a sub-52 second run in the semifinals. Bobb crossed the tape in the third heat in 51.84, resetting the record she set at the NCAA Preliminaries two weeks ago.
“The freshman ends her season having set four different school records during the outdoor season and one during indoor. She was named America East Female Track Performer of the Meet, Rookie of the Meet and won the Coaches’ Award during the indoor and outdoor championships.”
