“Her Excellency the Governor, Mrs. Rena Lalgie, was present and met the children while they enjoyed craft activities and cucumber sandwiches.

“BEN Book Club demonstrates strategies for parents to help develop their child’s love of reading. At each session, the children receive a gift of a picture book which has been chosen to cultivate phonemic awareness and while also highlighting Bermuda’s cultural diversity.

“The June BEN Book Club featured a story from Kenya with guest performers and food contributed by the Kenya Association in Bermuda. In August the story and activities will focus on Cup Match with a story about cricket.”
