Colts & Ballers Win, Zebras & Stars Draw
A Bermuda Football Association Women’s League triple-header took place at the Clyde Best Center of Excellence Field.
Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds 0 – St. George’s Lady Colts 2
In the opener, the St. George’s Lady Colts defeated the Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebird by a score of 2 – 0.
Kiuntae Smith gave the St. George’s Lady Colts the lead in the 51st minute, and then an own goal in the 68th minute doubled the St. George’s Lady Colts score.
PHC Lady Zebras 2 – Dandy Stars 2
The PHC Lady Zebras came from 2 – 0 down to draw 2 – 2 with the Dandy Stars.
Jahni Simmons gave the Dandy Stars the lead in the 14th minute, Saria Richardson double the lead in the 47th minute, but two minutes later the comeback began when Delia Ebbin scored, and then Taznae Fubler scored the equalizer in the 52nd minute.
Footy Queens 1 – Somerset Big Ballers 2
In what was to be the title decider, the Somerset Big Ballers edged the Footy Queens 2 – 1.
The Somerset Big Ballers grabbed the lead in the 8th minute when Jya Ratteray Smith scored, but DeShae Darrell leveled the score at 1 – 1 when she scored for the Footy Queens in the 22nd minute. Jazae Smith scored for the Somerset Big Ballers one minute later which proved to be the winner.
