Radcliffe FC Sign Keyni Mills & Zakiyah Lee
Radcliffe Football Club announced that they have signed Bermudian footballers Keyni Mills and Zakiyah Lee.
A statement from the club, which plays in the Northern Premier League in the UK, said, “Our eighth and ninth signings of the summer are 18-year-old winger Keyni Mills, and 20-year-old left back Zakiyah Lee. The pair are originally from Bermuda, but both have previously gained a small amount of experience in the english game through academies higher up the football pyramid.
“Both previously playing at various youth levels for their native Bermuda, they have even racked up appearances in several CONCACAF tournaments. Keyni managed to pick up the best player award for Bermuda in the 2021 CONCACAF Men’s U20 Qualifiers, helping his side finish in a respectable third place in the group, with two wins out of three against Barbados and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Speaking on his move to Radcliffe, Keyni Mills said: “I’m buzzing to have signed, i’ve been working hard to get where I am right now but this is just the start of my journey in mens football.
“Everyone’s been so nice to me since I started, the environment is good and the players around me are really helpful, with me being one of the youngest it’s been so nice to see everyone welcome me like they have.”
Also speaking on his move to Radcliffe, Zakiyah Lee said: “I’m overwhelmed at the moment, this is my first opportunity at semi-pro level so i’m feeling very welcome at the club.
“The standards at this club are so high and I want to get better and see what I can bring to the team. My teammates are very encouraging and I want to see where the season takes us as a team but also on a personal level.”
