Video: Sunday July 31st ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Dame Flora Duffy won another Commonwealth Games gold medal, multiple athletes had strong performances at the Commonwealth Games, the island celebrated the Cup Match holiday, and Jessica Lewis won the 100m and 400m at the Cruisers Meet in Canada, were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Errin Cann won a Wushu Taolu [forms] medal in Brazil, Bermuda Pacers won over a dozen medals in North Carolina, Dage Minors broke another Bermuda record, Emily Nagel was named as SailGP’s newest international commentator, Lana Young was mentioned in People Magazine, Charles Butterfield being featured in a martial arts book, Eden Robinson, Grace Reeves, Madison Smith and Nicholas Hassell taking part in the Allied World Bermuda summer internship program, and ABIR companies welcoming 91 summer interns.
