Yushae DeSilva-Andrade Wins In Brazil
Yushae DeSilva-Andrade continued competing in the Boccia World Championships in Brazil, making a strong showing on the second day of action to defeat Kinga Kaza from Poland — who is the number 6th ranked player in the world — by a score of 5 – 1.
Coach Troy Farnsworth said, “She played a great match and despite going down early 1-0 after the first end responded brilliantly to win the next 3 ends and win 5-1. She was able to keep her composure, executed some big shots when she needed to and played a great tactical game to come from behind and win. She now plays world number 13 Katerina Curinova from Czech Republic.”
