Video: Pinky’s Drive-Thru Opens, 60 New Jobs
The island has a new drive-thru restaurant, with Pinky’s now open for lunch and dinner, offering cheeseburgers, French fries, salads, coffee, donuts, soup, kid’s meals and more, with dozens of people hired to staff the new eatery.
The new establishment recently opened in Devonshire and Bernews stopped by on Friday to visit, and owner Marico Thomas explained that they are currently “doing lunch and dinner, we’re open from 10:30 in the morning until 7:30pm.
“We’re going to do that for about two weeks while we add some more things to the menu, and then after two weeks, we intend to start doing breakfast, and breakfast will start from 7:00am in the morning,” he added.
The new restaurant has created dozens of jobs, and Mr. Thomas explained that they had over 300 apply, noting they hosted a job fair and in the space of a day and a half they interviewed 150 people, and “we’ve hired well over 50 people, so we’re probably right now about 60 people.”
When asked about what the early favourites are for the customers, Mr. Thomas told Bernews, “A lot of Angus burgers, a lot of grilled chicken, but the crispy chicken is coming.”

too pricey
I vowed that I would never eat there, but I took a chance yesterday. I ordered their Angus burger.. it was dry and hard as a hockey puck, just terrible and way over-priced. Suffice it to say, lesson learned. The owner should be ashamed of himself. I also had a horrible experience at Burger Shack; food sucked and way over-priced.
