MSA Rotary Interact Club Busy In Community
Mount Saint Agnes Academy’s Rotary Interact Club has released a report covering their recent activities, including gifts being presented to seniors at several rest homes.
Club co-president Chrishanté Dill said, “On November 17, 2022, we had our first Rotary Interact Club meeting with Mrs. Moench, Mrs. Foggo, and Mrs. Richardson, our advisors. During this meeting, we first learned about the club goals. The executive members were selected; Nia-Rene-Outerbridge and I are co-presidents, Liana Franco is vice president, Colin Cardoza is treasurer, and Azariah Greaves is the secretary. The meeting was held during our lunch period.
“On November 24, 2022, we discussed school, community, and international project ideas. The first major project was the Christmas gift project for the senior citizens. This meeting was held during our lunch time.
“On Saturday, November 26, 2022, we met at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club for dinner as an organizational workshop. We had the opportunity to meet other students from different schools that are also participants of the Rotary Interact Club. During this meeting, we played bingo, which allowed us the opportunity to learn about what things we have in common.
“We listened to a presentation about organizational skills. We also answered some quiz questions and wrote down our daily schedules. We presented gifts to the Rotary Interact Club members of Bermuda. It began at 6pm and ended at 9pm.
“On November 28th, 2022, Nia-Rene-OuterBridge and I met at the Grotto Bay for dinner with other Rotary Interactors from other local clubs. We met both the president and vice president of Somersfield Academy. We listened to some presentations from the Rotary Interact Club council members and were able to chat with them. Next, we said a little speech about what our club has planned so far and what we would like to plan in the future. Then we played bingo.
“On December 9,2022, the executive and I had a meeting with our advisor Mrs. Richardson. We discussed the seniors gift project how we will prepare the donated items and donated money for presentation to the senior citizens.
“In conclusion, the gifts were presented to the Matilda Smith Rest Home, Sylvia Richardson Rest Home, and Lefroy Rest Home. There’s seventeen people in the MSA Rotary Interact Club. We have our regular meetings on Thursdays at lunchtime. It is from 11:38am to 12:12pm. The MSA club is part of the Pembroke Rotary Club. Lastly, we can’t wait to start our next project.”
