“Lt. Col. Lamb’s assignment becomes effective May 9, 2023.
“Lt. Col Lamb joins the Ministry of National Security following his service as the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Tourism and the Cabinet Office. He assumes his new role following the retirement of Mr. Christopher Farrow last week.
“PS Lamb will have the responsibility of the uniformed and emergency services under the Ministry of National Security.
“They include the Bermuda Police Service, the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service, the Department of Corrections, the Customs Department, the Royal Bermuda Regiment [RBR] and the Emergency Measures Organization [EMO].”
What has changed. I thought the Govenor controlled the Police.
“Was a Bermudian is correct” Obviously your lost in wilderness. Nothing has changed. In most or all cases a Ministry has a PS. This has nothing to do with any control of the Police.
He’s the secretary.
Congratulations my Brother well desrved
