Volleyballers Begin Competing In Cayman
The NORCECA Tour is underway in the Cayman Islands, with Bermuda competing in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
Daniel Fiddick and Brian Amaro competed in Pool A of the men’s division and they finished with a record of 1 win and 3 defeats; they lost 21-9, 21-3 to Urrutia and Satterfield from the USA. Fiddick and Amaro would next fall 21-15, 21-12 to Kwasny and Rodriguez from the Virgin Islands.
Fiddick and Amaro would fight back to claim a victory over Isaacs and Gene from the Bahamas 18-21, 21-14, 16-14, but in their final Pool A Division match, they fell 21-11, 21-14 to Flores and Guatemala from El Salvador.
In the Women’s Division Pool C, Allison Settle and Hailey Moss lost in all four group stage matches.
Settle and Moss fell 21-8, 21-10 to Sorra and Monkhouse from Canada, they then went down to Lopez and Silva from Nicaragua 21-10, 21-14.
Settle and Moss fell to Tulloch and Gaetos from the Cayman Islands 21-12, 12-21, 15-11, and in their final Pool C match they lost 21-16, 21-6 to Soler and Molina from El Salvador.
