Video: Nicole Stovell Wins Bronze Medal
Bermuda sailor Nicole Stovell has won a bronze medal at the Island Games in Guernsey, with the 18-year-old making an excellent showing to finish as the top female and bronze medal winner of the division, and Bermuda recorded two top ten finishes in the event, as Ahzai Smith placed 9th.
Stovell headed into the final day of racing in third place and protected her podium position by finishing fourth and third in her two races. She finished with a net total of 35 points.
Bermuda has won six medals so far at the 2023 Island Games, with three in tennis, two in archery, and one in sailing and we are guaranteed to win at least one more as the women’s football team won their semi-finals, are through to the finals and guaranteed to win either a silver or gold medal.
