Donald Treanor To Compete At Veteran Worlds
Donald Treanor will look to continue his recent fine form when he represents the Bermuda Fencing Federation at the Veteran Fencing World Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida, this week.
Treanor won a gold medal in the foil and bronze in the sabre at the recent Pan American Youth and Veterans Fencing Championships in Montevideo, Uruguay.
He will compete in all three weapons – foil, épée and sabre – in Daytona Beach.
The 65-year-old also competed at the Fairfax Challenge in Fredericksburg, Virginia, in April, finishing ninth in the foil, sixteenth in the épée and third in the sabre in the men’s veteran division.
The Veteran Fencing World Championships start tomorrow [October 11] and run until Monday.
