Hockey: Frontier & Positive Image Dental Win
The Bermuda ball hockey league season resumed at the PCC Hockey Rink with a double header that produced a total of eight goals on the night.
Frontier 2 – ACT 1
In the opener, Frontier needed a shootout goal to edge ACT 2 – 1.
Neither team scored in the first period, but by the end of the second period, it was 1 – 1. Curran Trenouth gave Frontier the lead before Sean McNulty equalized for ACT.
Neither team found the back of the net in the third period, forcing the match into a shootout, with John King scoring the Frontier winner.
Appleby 1 – Positive Image Dental 4
In the nightcap, Positive Image Dental defeated Appleby 4 – 1.
Chris Allington scored twice and Ian Beaudoin added another in the first period to give Positive Image Dental a 3 – 0 lead.
Neither team scored in the second period, but Appleby pulled a goal back in the third period off the stick of James Amaral. Tom Duggan restored the Positive Image Dental three-goal lead for the win.
