Police Confirm Death Of Nelson Macedo
The police have now confirmed the death of 42-year-old Nelson Macedo, who died following an industrial accident last week in St George’s.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service, [BPS], can now confirm the identity of the male Portuguese National who was injured in an industrial accident which occurred last week, as 42-year-old Nelson Macedo.
“Mr. Macedo was reportedly struck by a steel-beam shortly before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10th, while he worked at a construction site, in St George.
“He was transported via ambulance to hospital for treatment for his injuries. Unfortunately, he passed away a short time later.
“An autopsy is anticipated in due course.
