Daley Breaks Two Records In International Meet
Elijah Daley continued competing in the Ontario Junior International Swim Meet inside the Toronto Pan Am Sport Centre – Competition Pool.
On day two Daley would continue his strong 2023 performances.
In the boy’s 100m butterfly preliminaries, Daley finished 5th touching the wall in a time of 54.22, which placed him in the A final. This achievement broke his previous 17-18 boys age group record, which had stood since November 2023, during the Age Group International Short Course Canadian Championships.
In the 100m butterfly A final, Daley broke the 17-18 boys record he set in the preliminaries, finishing 7th clocking a personal best time of 53.56.
During the 50m backstroke preliminaries Daley clocked a personal best time of 25.67 which advanced him to the A final and broke Jack Harvey’s 17-18 boys age group record time of 27.43 set back in August 2020 during the COVID-19 Summer Splash Meet.
