Traffic Advisory For Lindo’s To Lindo’s Race
The Ministry of Public Works advised that the Lindo’s to Lindo’s 10k Run, and 4 Mile Walk will occur on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024, between 8:30 am and 10:00 am.
A spokesperson said, “The following roads will be affected:
Race Routes:
“The 10k race commences at Lindo’s Home Foods Store on Middle Road, Warwick. The participants continue east along Middle Road, then onto South Road. They make a left onto Collectors Hill and then proceed west onto Middle Road. The participants turn left onto Chaingate Hill, then proceed right to Watlington Road East. They continue to the finish line at the Lindo’s, Devonshire carpark.
“The 4 Mile walk initially follows the same route as the 10k race. Instead of proceeding to Collectors Hill, the participants make a left turn from South Road onto Brighton Hill Road. They then turn right onto Watlington Road East and proceed to the finish line at the Lindo’s, Devonshire carpark.
Traffic Control:
“The running/walking race will commence on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024, at 8:30 am and is expected to conclude by 10.00 am. There will be Police Officers present at Paget Traffic Lights, Trimingham Roundabout and Collectors Hill Traffic Lights to aid with traffic control.
Road Closures:
“There will be no road closures. All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collisions with race participants. The race route will be under the control of Police Officers. Motorists are asked to follow the instructions given by the Police Officers to assist with traffic control for this event.
“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result. “In addition, the Bermuda police are hereby authorized to “Close-Off’ streets or portions of streets and authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.”
