Workforce Development Launch New Website
The Department of Workforce Development announced the launch of its new website, which they said is “designed to provide enhanced access to information, resources, and opportunities for Bermudians seeking to advance skills and achieve their career goals.”
A Government spokesperson said, “The newly launched website is a comprehensive hub for all things related to the Department of Workforce Development. Visitors to the site can find a wealth of valuable information to support their professional growth and development, including information on scholarships, training programs, apprenticeships, work readiness resources, and more.
“A vital feature of the new website is the Department’s monthly training calendar, which allows users to browse upcoming training sessions and workshops easily. Moreover, the website enables individuals to conveniently register for classes using any internet-enabled device, thus streamlining the process, and making it more accessible for all.”
The Minister of Economy and Labour, Jason Hayward, explained, “As stated in the 2023 Speech from the Throne, ‘The Government will continue to support the public service as it looks to modernise its processes and improve customer service to the taxpayers of Bermuda’.
“Through the creation of this website, we have made it easier for Bermudians to access the resources and opportunities they need for success in today’s workforce. So whether you’re interested in pursuing further education, gaining new skills, or exploring career pathways, this new website is a one-stop destination for all your workforce development needs.”
The Government spokesperson said, “In addition to providing valuable resources and information, the website includes success stories and testimonials from individuals who have benefited from the Department’s programs and services, showcasing the real impact of workforce development initiatives in Bermuda.
