Daley Breaks Three Records In Swim Meet

Elijah Daley competed in the 2024 Summer Ontario Swimming Championships at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre – Competition Pool.

Competing in the 17 years and older 100m breaststroke, preliminaries, Daley finished 8th touching the wall in a time of 1:05.90. During the 17 years and older breaststroke final, Daley finished 6th clocking a time of 1:04.90, breaking Sam Williamson’s record-breaking time of 1:05.69 set back in July 2022 during the British Summer Championships.

During the 17 years and older 100-meter butterfly, preliminaries, Daley finished 8th clocking a time of 55.76, advancing to the final. In the final, Daley finished 8th clocking 55.81, breaking Jesse Washington’s time of 56.42 set back in 2017 during the VI Commonwealth Youth games.

Daley finished 4th competing in the 17 years and older 200m individual medley preliminaries touching the wall in a time of 2:09.76. In the final, Daley broke the Bermuda age group record, setting a new time of 2:08.31.
