Hopkins Finishes 31st In Guadeloupe Stage 8
Bermudian cyclist Kaden Hopkins and his Vendee U teammates faced a challenging Stage 8 in the 73rd Tour Cycliste International de la Guadeloupe, navigating the grueling 153.6km road race from Pointe-à-Pitre to Baie-Mahault. The route featured over 2600 meters of climbing, testing the riders’ endurance.
Hopkins crossed the finish line in 31st place with a time of 3:52:24, trailing the stage winner and teammate Sam Maisonobe by 19 minutes and 52 seconds.
In the overall Grand Championship standings, Hopkins currently sits in 28th position with a combined time of 30:19:22. He trails the overall leader, Kevin Miranda, by 59 minutes and 11 seconds. Miranda currently holds the top spot with a combined time of 25:50:43.
