Anti-Bullying Week Finale Event On Nov 15
The Office of Youth Affairs [TOYA] invites everyone to join them at City Hall for the finale of Bermuda’s Anti-Bullying Week on Friday [Nov 15] from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.
Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors Tinee Furbert said, “Empowering our youth to choose respect is essential to building a community where every individual feels valued and safe. Recent tragedies have reminded us how deeply violence impacts our young people and the wider community. Throughout the week, the TOYA team has visited schools across the island, leading assemblies that drive home the #ChooseRespect theme. Events like these are critical starting points, helping our youth recognize and address bullying behavior, cultivate empathy, and find constructive paths forward. This work is about breaking cycles and ensuring that young people feel equipped and supported in making positive choices.”

A FAIRER BERMUDA
When are the politicians here going to discontinue BULLYING the people of Bermuda ?
Sorry, PAC MAN. That is not what a “fairer Bermuda” means.
A “fairer Bermuda” is where the Government takes from the “haves” and gives to the “have nots”, less a commission for themselves.
Mr . Joe Bloggs.
Some times we have to paint the picture with a broard bush !
A Fairer Bermuda ,may i ask fairer for Who ?
You may have noted me writing about the hardship of “double dip taxation” .
What you you say above is so very true , makes me wonder why that catchy head liner that was not used twenty years ago.
The” have nots” are those who do not want buy for hand outs or educate them selves , live the high life ,from one week to the next, never satisfied, and expect others including Government to cater to them with more to come.
There are those who have recently jumped ship for greener pastures ……….they will return !
We owed money at one pound a week on the flowers that went in the church.
I told my Father that we had nothing left . he said “Good so you have nothing to fight over”. i guess that his father never helped my dad.
By the way, I am proud to be the son of a workman .
We both of work night or day !
Done more for Bermuda than most !
Back then we were waiting for next week pay day, over the years we made many sacrifices in order to get by ,it is all called sacrifice !
“may i ask fairer for Who ?”
For the “have nots”. That is what the PLP Government has been promising for years.
