Khano Smith Ends Superb First USL Season
Khano Smith’s superb first season in charge of Rhode Island came to an end yesterday [November 23] after his side were defeated 3-0 away to Colorado Spring Switchbacks in the United Soccer League [USL] Championship final.
Juan Tejada, Jairo Henriquez and Ronald Damus scored the goals for Switchbacks.
Rhode claimed the USL Championship Eastern Conference final when they beat Charleston Battery 2-1 last weekend.
Smith, a former Bermuda and New England Revolution winger, was appointed as head coach and general manager of Rhode Island in March last year.
