PLP Holds ‘Community Connect’ Event

The PLP said they celebrate the success of their “Community Connect” event, which they said “brought together residents, PLP representatives, and community leaders for an evening of dialogue, engagement, and fellowship.”

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Progressive Labour Party and its Warwick branches are celebrating the overwhelming success of the “Community Connect” event, held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Warwick Workmen’s Club. The event brought together residents, PLP representatives, and community leaders for an evening of dialogue, engagement, and fellowship.

“A highlight of the evening was the insightful keynote presentation delivered by Attorney General, Senator Kim Wilkerson, who spoke passionately about the PLP government’s ongoing efforts to ensure fairness, justice, and opportunity for all Bermudians. Senator Wilkerson addressed key topics, including recent legislative advancements, initiatives to enhance public safety, and new measures aimed at supporting families and businesses in Warwick and across the island.”

PLP Candidate for Constituency 25 Warwick North East Arianna Hodgson praised the event’s success, stating,
“The turnout for ‘Community Connect’ was truly inspiring. It was wonderful to see so many residents actively engaging, asking thoughtful questions, and sharing their ideas. Senator Kim Wilkerson’s presentation provided valuable insights into the government’s work, and we are grateful for her dedication towards pushing for a fairer judiciary for all of us.”

The spokesperson said, “The Community Connect event also featured an open Q&A session, allowing attendees to offer feedback directly to PLP representatives. This exchange of ideas reaffirmed the Party’s commitment to listening to the people and ensuring that their voices shape the policies and priorities of the government.

    Looks like a good event. I was unable to attend but watched replay on social media.
    The AG definitely has her heart in the right place and is ready to make a difference. Loved the engagement and the interaction.
