Bermuda Trio Earn Wins At Royal Invitational
Three Bermudian track and field athletes delivered outstanding performances for Montverde Academy at the Royal Invitational hosted by The First Academy in Orlando, Florida, securing podium finishes in every event they contested.
Miles Outerbridge, Arima Turner, and Ellise Dickinson showcased their talent and determination, contributing significantly to Montverde Academy’s success at the meet.
Turner started strongly, securing a third-place finish in the girls’ 200 meters with a time of 25.29 seconds.
Dickinson then impressed in the girls’ 400 meters, running a strong race to claim second place in 58.69 seconds.
Outerbridge stole the show in the boys’ 200 meters dash, sprinting to victory in a Carifta Games qualifying time of 21.57 seconds.
The Bermuda athletes also played crucial roles in Montverde Academy’s relay success. Turner ran the third leg of the victorious girls’ 4 x 100 relay team, which clocked a winning time of 45.50 seconds.
In the girls’ 4 x 400 relay, Turner ran the first leg and Dickinson the third, contributing to another dominant victory for Montverde Academy, with the team finishing in 3:53.42.
