Za’Kayza Parsons Helps UMBC Place Fifth
Bermudian athlete Za’Kayza Parsons contributed to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County [UMBC] Women’s Outdoor Track & Field team’s fifth-place finish at the 2025 America East Championships, held at the University of New Hampshire. UMBC accumulated 105 points in the competition.
Parsons was part of the UMBC Women’s 4 x 100m Relay team that took second place with a time of 46.30 seconds. The team also included Charliana Dacosta, Leanne McDonald, and Anna Creel.
Individually, Parsons finished sixth in the Women’s 100m Dash with a time of 12.16 seconds. She also placed seventh in the Women’s Long Jump with a best mark of 5.51 metres [18 feet 1 inch].
