C.A.R.E. Graduation Ceremony On Thursday

C.A.R.E Learning Centre will celebrate 42 years of educating the community with its annual graduation ceremony on Thursday [June 19], recognizing student achievements across GED, life skills, and professional development programmes.

A spokesperson said, “In celebration of 42 years of Educating the Community, C.A.R.E. Learning Centre will be holding their annual graduation ceremony on Thursday, 19th June, 2025.

“Eight students who were successful in receiving their high school diplomas will be recognized for their outstanding educational achievements.

“C.A.R.E. salutes the accomplishments of their GED students, in addition to the Professional Development and Life Skills programme students recognizing the completion and certification of the online programmes Computer Essentials, Work Essentials and Money Essentials.

“The guest speaker for the graduation will be Mr. Quinton D. Sherlock, Jr., Bs., Ms., Executive Director, C.A.R.E. Ghana and G.E.D. Instructor. The ceremony will highlight the success of 16–17-year-old students who passed their G.E.D. Test before the school leaving age of 18 and will be mentioned during the programme for their outstanding commitment to attending classes on a regular basis, additional studying, extra tutoring, and a commitment to applying their academic skills and enrolling in the life skills programmes.

“The graduates will also be recognized for their outstanding achievements in Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and Language Skills passing with honours and college ready credits.

“The Community Involvement Award this year will be presented to Target Learning founder – Ms. Keisha Allen-Smith. Her educational services offer a variety of academic coaching for students aged seven and up, including personalized tutoring and workshops for teachers and parents. Their services also include Personalized Academic Coaching tailored to meet individual needs, focusing on growth mindset and success skills and Diagnostic Assessments.

“Mr. K’wondé Lathan – Programme Director states that C.A.R.E. is very thankful for the support in the community and continues to assist Bermuda’s young people seeking a high school diploma and upgrading their academic skills.
