Squash: Junior CASA Results Day Seven
Bermuda’s squash players have concluded their campaign at the Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association [CASA] Championships in the Cayman Islands.
The boys’ and girls’ teams finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
The boys’ team defeated the Cayman Islands 21-11 in their fifth to-eighth place play-off match.
Kaiden DeSilva won his under-11 match 11-7, 11-9, 11-5 against Chad Franklin.
Benjamin Sherratt won his under-13 match against Bodhi Philp 11-3, 11-4, 11-3.
Owen Rosorea won his under-17 match against Charlie Makin 13-11, 3-11, 11-6, 11-3.
Eli Carpol defeated Gaven Ramos in the under-19 No 2 match 11-2, 11-2, 11-2.
Bermuda then defeated the British Virgin Islands 20-10.
Kaiden DeSilva defeated Toby Evans 11-9, 13-11, 11-4 in the under-11 match.
Benjamin Sherratt defeated Ian Cruikshank 11-6, 11-3, 11-6 in the under-13 match.
Mason Smith defeated Ethan Mohamed 11-7, 11-8, 11-7 in the under-15 match.
Owen Rosorea defeated Jakob Noblett 11-2, 11-4, 11-5 in the under-17 match.
The Bermuda girls’ team concluded their campaign with a 17-17 draw against Trinidad.
Gabrielle Turchiaro won her under-19 number No 1 match 11-4, 11-3, 11-2 against Elise Mathura.
Tyler Komposch won her under 19 No 2 spot match 11-8, 11-5, 12-10 against Saanvi Chattergoon.
Mckenna Kyme won her under-15 match 8-11, 7-11, 12-10, 11-3, 11-4 against Aaniyah Ramdeen.
In their final match, the girls’ team were defeated 20-10 by Cayman.
Rose Paulos won the under-19 No 2 match 11-1, 12-10, 11-3 against Milana Thompson.
Somers Stevenson won her under-17 match by default.
