Somerset Bridge Wins Western County Cup
A new champion has been crowned in the Western County Cup competition, as challengers Somerset Bridge staged an impressive upset to defeat cup holders Willow Cuts by 38 runs in the Second Round at White Hill Field.
Somerset Bridge won the toss and elected to bat, posting a total of 158 before being bowled out. Their innings was anchored by Allan Douglas, who top-scored with a quick-fire 44 runs off just 42 balls, including 5 fours and 1 six.
