Presidents Win Ball Hockey League Match
The Hyannisport Presidents defeated the Broome County Blades 6-3 in a Bermuda Inline Ball Hockey match at the PCC Hockey Rink. The Presidents secured the victory after a decisive third-period performance.
The Blades opened the scoring in the first period with a goal from Matt Mcphail. The Presidents answered shortly after with a goal by Ryan Bates, tying the score at 1-1.
Richard Campbell of the Blades scored in the second period, giving his team a brief lead. The Presidents responded with goals from Kris Abramowski and Chris Oakley, taking a 3-2 lead into the final period.
In the third period, the Presidents extended their advantage with two more goals, one each from Bates and Oakley. Jeff Ingelman of the Blades scored to narrow the deficit, but Abramowski’s second goal of the game finalized the 6-3 score for the Presidents.
