BPS: Reports Of Gun Shots, No Evidence Found

The police investigated a report of gunshots last night in Smiths Parish however “no evidence was found to substantiate, or indicate, exactly where the shots could have been fired.”

A police spokesperson said, “Shortly before 11:50 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, the Bermuda Police Service [BPS] received several reports of gunshots heard in the area of Town Hill Road and Harrington Sound Road, Smith’s.

“Officers attended and conducted area searches.

“However, no evidence was found to substantiate, or indicate, exactly where the shots could have been fired. Checks were made at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, with negative results for anyone attending with gunshot injuries.

“Officers this morning conducted further searches along Town Hill Road and Harrington Sound Road, but again, found no evidence of a firearm having been discharged.

“Checks of CCTV cameras also did not turn up anything to substantiate the reports of gunshots heard.

“The BPS urges residents of the areas mentioned, to review their CCTV and door-cams for any suspicious activity which may have been captured between the hours of 11:30 and midnight last night. Anyone with information is asked to call the main police number, 295-0011 or the non-emergency reporting number 211.

    These gun incidents have long been far out of control. Whoever gets caught with a gun or ammo should be locked up for the rest of their life, with minimal benefits and meals in prison. If you dont clamp down on this hard now, it will get worse because these criminals think they are getting away with it. Time for police to pull over and search anyone wearing a dark visor, and any bike with two suspicious people on it.
