Somersfield Academy will host a Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme Tour and Information Session on Tuesday, November 4th.

A spokesperson said, “Somersfield Academy will host a Middle Years Programme [MYP] and Diploma Programme [DP] Tour and Information Session on Tuesday, November 4, offering families an inside look at the school’s unique International Baccalaureate continuum.

“The day will start at 9:00 a.m. with a brief welcome from Head of Secondary Charlie Judd, followed by student-led tours of classrooms and learning spaces that highlight the environment where Somersfield students thrive academically and personally. The event concludes at 10:00 a.m. Please RSVP to attend.

“Somersfield has been offering the IB Middle Years Programme for over 20 years and remains the only school in Bermuda to provide this IB continuum, guiding students seamlessly from MYP into the Diploma Programme.

“As a small learning community, Somersfield teachers get to know each student individually, offering personalised support and guidance. With an international curriculum, students explore local themes through a global lens, preparing them to become socially conscious, independent thinkers.

“The IB Middle Years Programme is a five-year educational journey for students aged 11 to 16, cultivating critical thinking, personal growth, and global awareness while preparing them for the two-year IB Diploma Programme.

“In conjunction with the tour, Somersfield Academy is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Equity and Merit Scholarships for students entering M4 to DP1 for the 2026/27 academic year. These scholarships aim to empower academically talented students from the Bermuda community to access a Somersfield education and develop into socially conscious global leaders.

“Scholarships provide full or partial tuition support, access to a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, mentorship from faculty, and leadership experiences within the school community. Deadline for scholarship applications 2026/27 is March 9, 2026. Families seeking financial assistance should also note that bursaries are available.
