Berkeley Institute Holds Signature Career Fair
The Berkeley Institute hosted its Annual Signature Career Fair on Thursday, November 6th, 2025, bringing together more than 40 local organizations, businesses, and community partners to connect with students and showcase the many career and educational pathways available in Bermuda.
A spokesperson said, “Held in the school’s gymnasium, the event formed part of The Berkeley Institute’s ongoing commitment to Signature Learning, an innovative approach to education designed to link classroom learning with real-world experiences. The fair featured a diverse range of industries aligned with Berkeley’s Signature Learning Programmes in Health and Social Care and Financial and Insurance Services.
“Throughout the afternoon, students from all year levels had the opportunity to explore career booths, ask questions, and network with professionals from various sectors, including healthcare, finance, insurance, social services, business, and technology. Each student carried a “Career Passport,” which encouraged them to engage with exhibitors by collecting signatures and asking guided questions about career journeys, skills, and qualifications.”
Event Organizer, Keisha Allen-Smith expressed gratitude to the learning partners for their participation, stating: “Our Signature Career Fair gives students the opportunity to see what’s possible beyond the classroom. The partnerships we are building with local businesses and organizations are vital in preparing our students for further education, employment, and entrepreneurship.”
A spokesperson added, “Feedback from both students and partners was overwhelmingly positive. Students shared that the fair helped them gain insight into new careers and sparked interest in internship and volunteer opportunities. Learning partners noted the students’ professionalism and curiosity as standout qualities throughout the event.”
Principal, Ms. Keisha L. Douglas, shared: “At The Berkeley Institute, we remain steadfast in our commitment to preparing all of our students to lead full and purposeful lives. Our Signature Career Fair exemplifies what is possible when education, industry, and community converge to support the success of our young people. We are incredibly proud of the engagement, curiosity, and professionalism our students displayed, as well as the enthusiastic support from our learning partners.
“Events like this affirm the strength of our Signature Learning Programmes and reinforce our belief that when students are exposed to meaningful, real-world opportunities, they are better equipped to make informed decisions about their futures.
“The Berkeley Institute extends sincere thanks to all participating organizations for their continued partnership and support. The school looks forward to deepening these connections through ongoing initiatives such as Future Fridays, mentorship programmes, internships, and real-world learning projects that will continue throughout the academic year.”

Great. They will benefit. Keep going Berkeley. Best wishes to the Principal and staff and thank you to the businesses that participated.

Well, it is a Government school, so I would expect it to reflect the PLP Government’s plan for education
