Football: 22 Goals Scored In Sunday’s Matches
Twenty-two goals were scored across Bermuda Football Association Premier and First Division matches on Sunday.
Devonshire Colts 4 Young Men Social Club 3
Devonshire Colts defeated Young Men Social Club 4-3 at Police Field. Senoj Mitchell scored first for the Colts in the second minute. Jorj Dublin added a second goal via a penalty kick in the 17th minute. Young Men Social Club equalised before halftime with two goals from Ryan Parris, who scored from a 30-yard free kick and a penalty in the 45th minute. Elisha Darrell restored the Colts’ lead in the second half, but Zeiko Lewis leveled the score for Social Club two minutes later. Mitchell scored his second goal of the match in the 87th minute to secure the victory for Devonshire Colts.
Dandy Town Hornets 3 St. George’s Colts 1
League leaders Dandy Town Hornets defeated St. George’s Colts 3-1 at White Hill Field.Following a scoreless first half, Lejuan Simmons scored in the 58th minute and Angelo Simmons added a goal in the 60th minute. Malachi Trott scored for St. George’s in the 67th minute. Jahkari Furbert scored a third goal for the Hornets to conclude the scoring.
X-Roads 2 Devonshire Cougars 2
X-Roads and Devonshire Cougars drew 2-2 at Lord’s in St. David’s. Kydan Browne gave the Cougars the lead in the 61st minute. Akim Johnston equalised for X-Roads in the 77th minute. Mosiais Mills put the Cougars ahead in the 86th minute, but Paul Simons scored for X-Roads in the first minute of stoppage time to tie the match.
PHC Zebras 3 Boulevard Blazers 0
PHC Zebras defeated Boulevard Blazers 3-0 at the Devonshire Recreation Club. Kadeem Abraham scored in the 44th minute. Enrique Russell added two goals in the second half, scoring in the 51st and 88th minutes.
Robin Hood 2 Somerset Trojans 1
Robin Hood defeated league leaders Somerset Trojans 2-1 at the Somerset Cricket Club. Leo Burgess scored for the Trojans in the 26th minute. Sebastian Medeiros equalised for Robin Hood in the 35th minute. Keishon Bean scored the deciding goal in the 52nd minute. This result marked the first league loss of the season for Somerset Trojans.
St. David’s 1 Vasco 0
St. David’s defeated Vasco 1-0 at Police Field. The match remained scoreless until the 83rd minute when Cody Richardson scored the lone goal.
