Caines & Dunkle Win Junior Classic Race
Nicolas Gomez Caines and Freya Dunkle claimed the boys’ and girls’ titles at the 2026 Heritage Day Junior Classic, a two-mile road race that takes place on Bermuda Day
In the boys’ division, Nicolas Gomez Caines delivered a controlled, tactical performance over the downtown Hamilton course, pulling away late to win in 11:06. Spencer Haldeman finished second in 11:18, while Tobiah Goodchild took third in 11:24.
In the girls’ race, Freya Dunkle secured the title in 13:14, finishing 22nd overall. Naomi Nusum placed second among girls and 23rd overall in 13:26, while Vivienne Fox completed the podium in 14:11, finishing 32nd overall.
