Sunday August 23rd: “Good News” Spotlight
News that the Department of Sport and Recreation Summer Camp Registration Team earned the Public Service Excellence Award, Bermuda’s volleyball team won a gold medal and the Clyde Best documentary won the Audience Favorite award at the Roxbury International Film Festival were among the positive news stories from the past week.
Other good news stories included Camily O. Lovell receiving the $25,000 Duperreault Fellowship for doctoral studies, Family Centre thanking supporters who helped make the 2026 Cup Match Tag Day a success, Bermuda’s U14 boys’ football team advanced to the Caribbean Football Union Challenge Series semi-finals and Lorene Phillips being named a finalist for the 2026 ISC Group Mentorship Excellence Award.
