Photo Report: Start Of 2010 Cup Match
The campers are out, the batters are in, the spectators are out, and the liquor is going in…Cup Match is underway.
The Police and Security systems seem to be working well. We spotted them out in full effect at 7:30 this morning, and later on this morning there was a steady flow of people coming in and, despite the bag searches and body sweeps, there seems to be little in the way of delay…
St John’s Ambulance Brigade are ready…
The Governor and the Premier went out to greet the two teams. The Governor was diplomatically neutral but the Premier, who has made no secret of who he supports, was partisan and was sporting St George’s blue and blue…
From South Africa to Bermuda the concept traveled…vuvuzelas can be seen, and heard…
St Georges’s won the toss and sent Somerset in to bat. After a rain delay the match started, and Somerset are valiantly working on proving the Octopus’s prediction to be correct.

Thanks for the udates Bernews. You guys and gals are doing a tremendous job of covering everything, really.
I must say that the picture of the Governor and the Premier would make a great ‘Caption Photo Contest’.
That ‘thumb’ is really something.
I’m sure the blogs will pick up on it. They usually steal my stuff anyway.
A great and safe day to all.
