Man Arrested At Airport: Murder Charges

A 21-year-old Pembroke man was arrested at the L.F. Wade International Airport by detectives from the Serious Crime Unit at 8pm last night [Aug 11] in connection with both murder and attempted murder charges.

The suspect was arrested in connection with the murder of well known Court Street figure Troy “Yankee” Rawlins during the early morning hours of Monday, August 9th at the Spinning Wheel nightclub on Court Street, and in connection with the attempted murder of 24-year-old Prince Edness during the early morning hours of Friday, August 6th on Elliott/Princess Street.

The Pembroke man was apprehended in the airport’s departure area after checking in for a departing flight. He remains in Police custody while enquiries continue.
