Fundraiser For 17-Yr-Old Cornell “Bread” Bailey

On April the 9th, 2011 the Richard Allen A.M.E. Church are hosting a walk/bike ride/run-athon called “Bread 4 Life Athon” in aid of the Bailey family.

17-year-old Saltus Student Cornell “Bread” Bailey was involved in a serious road accident on March 14th, 2011.The Police said “Around 5:45pm on Monday, Police received a report of a serious road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish in the vicinity of Shelly Bay involving a car, an auxiliary cycle & a motorcycle. It appears that all three vehicles were traveling along North Shore Road when they collided.”

Cornell was airlifted out of Bermuda shortly after, and is presently receiving medical treatment at Boston’s Mass General Hospital. The organisers are hosting this event to help raise funds to assist the family with additional expenses that they are and will be challenged with.
