September 9, 2011

The Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the results from Disciplinary Hearings held this week, five players faced charges with Reginald Pearman, President, stating, “I am naturally disappointed that we still have behavior that warrants such actions.

“Nevertheless, the BCB will always stand firm to protect our great game and the spirit in which our national sport should be played. I commend the umpires for their sterling work in very difficult circumstances.”

“The BCB is a supporter of the Bermuda Cricket Umpires Association and the professionalism of their organization that continues to produce international quality umpires. I sincerely hope that everyone involved in the game recognizes the importance of retaining values and conduct appropriate in our small country.”

  2. Board of bad cricket says:

Jus wondering… Didn’t mr. Douglas kick down the stumps? Why should he not get a suspension but the others do? Maybe because his father is in charge of the umpires board. I guess the message that the cricket board is sending out is that it’s ok to act in that manner. (confused)
