Extra Ferry Service For Both Days Of Cup Match

The Department of Marine and Ports announced today [July 31] that in addition to regular Monday to Friday service which will be running during the Cup Match holiday there will also be a special Cup Match Ferry at the following times:

Thursday

  • Leaving St. George’s 7:45 am
  • Arriving Watford Bridge 8:20am

PM Service

  • Leaving Watford Bridge 5:20pm
  • Arriving St. George’s 6:10pm
  • Leaving Watford Bridge 8:00pm
  • Arriving St. George’s 8:30pm

Friday

  • Leaving St. George’s 7:45 am
  • Arriving Watford Bridge 8:20am

PM Service

  • Leaving Watford Bridge 5:20pm
  • Arriving St. George’s 6:10pm
  • Leaving Watford Bridge 8:30pm
  • Arriving St. George’s 9:10pm

“DPT will be running a Sunday (holiday) schedule over Cup Match. However, there will be additional buses in place to cover Cup Match itself as well as a shuttle to Horseshoe beach for the Cruise ships and 8 sightseeing tours on Thursday. There will also be additional supervisors to ensure all runs smoothly. Maintenance will have on call staff to deal with issues of a mechanical nature,” a spokesperson said.

    That’s IF the few ferries that are running don’t break down… Cus the mechanics will be at the game..

    Could we just stop complaining cause in most countries they dont give a crap how u get to n from during a holiday. In Bermuda we r just too spoiled n ungreatful. Thank u PTB for your efforts during the Cupmatch holiday.

    I see they can add the extra ferries for the holiday and pay out the overtime for this service but you can’t keep the daily run to hamilton and pay regular pay.
    Way to go on cost cutting measures PLP!!

    Should work just fine provided there are no emergency biu meetings to attend
    . If so the Cup Match boat will run. Service for visitors does not matter.
