Another Shooting In Sandys, No Injuries
48 hours after a confirmed shooting in Sandys, another one occurred in the Greenfield Lane area of Sandys parish.
A police statement said: “Around 1:30am on Saturday, October 27th police officers responded to reports of gun shots in the Greenfield Lane, Long Bay Lane Sandys parish area. Forensic evidence found at the scene confirmed that a firearm was discharged in that area; however there were no reported injuries.
“The area was secured and an active investigation has commenced into this confirmed firearm incident.
“Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone that may have seen or heard persons acting suspiciously in the area of Greenfield Lane and Long Bay Lane in Sandys parish around the time of this incident to contact the main police telephone number on 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.”
Isn’t greenfeild lane in Somerset..can we get these parishes correct..Sandys Parish ends where Somerset road begins.
Just in case people don’t know, Somerset isn’t a parish, it is a Town in Sandys Parish. Just saying thats all….

Somerset is not a parish. Its an area within Sandys Parish. Sandys Parish begins close to the road leading to Pompano and encompasses everywhere up to and including Dockyard.

It is both in the parish of Sandys in the Somerset area. Somerset begins going west from Somerset Bridge
and ends before going over Watford Bridge. Somerset road is the main road between these two points.

oh my God,, What am I reading,, Somerset is an island,, lol, Its the mass of land from Somerset Bridge to Watford Bridge.. Sandys Parish is made up of a number of islands.. It ecompasses the remainder of the main land up to Somerset Bridge, Somerset Island, Watford Island, Ireland Island South and Ireland Island North.. Ever notice those bridges on the way Dockyard?? lol
and Boaz Island ofcourse..

If you ignore the small crimes, the eventually turn into bigger crimes. If parents won’t police their kids , the police must! They chase egg throwing teens because people have called the police to report eggs being thrown at them. I wonder if you would feel the same way if it was you in your car or come that gets egged.

Sandy’s begins where Pompano Is. Thats right where Port Royal Golf Course ends and meets up with the old Eve’s Cycle place on Middle Road. And Sandy’s Parish ends right at the tip of Dockyard.
Thank you so much for that, please excuse my naivete, but where is the tip of Dockyard and since it is not a parish shouldn’t Dockyard be included in SandysParish?..anyone that can assist, thank you..I’m just wondering whether all portions of Bermuda land are divided up into Parishes inclusively..otherwise Dockyard stands alone? Sandys is the parish, Somerset is the town. In the east, St George’s is the parish and its also the name of the town. So Cup Match is town against town, not parish against parish.
The town is ‘St George ‘ No ‘s’
But does that apply to the parish as well ? Maps do not make it clear it seems . Is it the parish of St George or St George’s Parish ?

No – the fact that this fool is probably Bermudian and does not know that Somerset is not a parash is EVERYTHING that is wrong with our island. Uneducated young fools committing acts of terrorism.
