BMRC National Champs Race This Sunday

October 31, 2012

This weekend will mark the season finale race of the 2012 BMRC National Championship Series. The BMRC will join the BKC as they host their third round of the 2012/13 championship season. The penultimate round of the 2012 BMRC championship was held on October 18th. This event was hosted in collaboration with the BKC and the Bermuda Classic Bike Club to provide kart racing, motorcycle racing and a custom & classic bike show for all those who attended.

The event provided excitement and a twist of events across championship battles. Superbike 600 Rookie Jacob Sousa has adapted to the class like a fish to water taking his first two victories of the season against his rival and family member Cody Sousa-Saints. Having missed the first race of the event due to a mechanical fault Jacob entered the final two races of the event with determination in his eyes. The race for the 2012 Superbike 600 championship is still on and will be decided this Sunday.

The other championship still up for grabs will be the GP80 currently being contested by Edward Cook Jr. and Haley Place. The points gap is close and with three races scheduled for this weekend the title is still up for grabs.
