“Jacob’s Ladder” Show Premieres On Sunday
Described by writer Dale Butler as an “inspirational, motivational, spiritual mystery”, the show “We Are Climbin’ Jacob’s Ladder” will premiere on Sunday [Apr. 21] at the First Church of God, Angle Street under the distinguished patronage of Mrs. Elizabeth Gumbs.
Featuring the Giant Steps Band [pictured] and an array of guest performers, the show will also be staged at Mt. Zion A.M.E. on April 28 under the patronage of Mrs. Doyleen Trott; at the Evening Light Pentecostal Church on Parsons Road under the patronage of Mrs. Doris Samuels and at the New Testament Church of God: Glory Temple in St. David’s on May 19 under the distinguished patronage of Dr. Dawnette Ming. All performance times are at 4 p.m.
This show will benefit the Giant Steps performance in the Havana International Jazz Festival in December. Tickets are $50 for patrons, $25 for adults and $10 for children.
