Results: Logic Knockout Cricket Tournament

A number of cricket games took place on Sunday [Sep 1] in the Logic Knockout Tournament, with Warwick Workmans, St. David’s Cricket Club, Southampton Rangers and Cleveland County all recording wins while the match between Willow Cuts and Bailey’s Bay was called off.

Warwick Workman’s Win by 11 Runs: Warwick Workman’s 107 PHC 96

At the PHC Stadium, Warwick Workman’s Club were bowled all out for 107. Lionel Cann was the top scorer with 47, while PHC opener Charles Trott returned bowling figures of 7-2-25-3. In reply PHC were bowled all out for 96 even with Warwick Workman’s Club dropped eight catches, Ellsworth Bean was the top scorer with 27, while Cann returned bowling figures of 7.2-0-24-5 to lead the Warwick Workman’s Club bowling attack.

Match Called Off: Southampton Rangers 0/0 Somerset Cricket Club 0/0

At the Southampton Oval, the Somerset Cricket Club did not have enough players to field a team thus forfeiting the match to the Southampton Rangers.

Match Called Off: Willow Cuts 0/0 Bailey’s Bay 0/0

At the White Hill Field the wicket was unprepared for the match between Willow Cuts and Bailey’s Bay leaving the umpires no choice but to call the match off.

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 6 Wickets: Western Stars 90 St. David’s Cricket Club 91/4

At Lord’s in St. David’s, visiting club Western Stars batted first and were bowled all out for 90, Neon Steede was the top scorer with 42 not out, Rudell Pitcher led the St. David’s bowling attack with figures of 10-2-22-4, while Delyone Borden bowled 1-0-05-2. In reply the St. David’s Cricket Club scored 91/4 in 15.4 overs, George O’Brien Jr. was the top scorer with 32, while McClaren Lowe added 28. Swayne Campbell had figures of 1.4-0-9-1, while Brian Hall bowled 3-0-14-1.

Cleveland County Win by 8 Wickets: St George’s Cricket Club 88 Cleveland County 92/2

At the Wellington Oval the St. George’s Cricket Club batted first and were bowled all out for 88, Macai Simmons was the top scorer with 32, while Jonathan Denbrook added 17. Shakai Darrell was the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers with figures of 6-0-29-5. In reply Cleveland County scored 92/2, Treadwell Gibbons Jr. scored 39 not out and Allan Douglas Jr. added 22, Akeem Trott was the pick of the St. George’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 3.4-0-52-2.
