Smith & Keane Win Jr Squash Championship
The 2013 Digicel Junior National Championships concluded at the Bermuda Squash Racquets Association Club this weekend, with finals and consolation finals played in eight different divisions.
Nazhir Smith and Emma Keane were crowned the Under 19 Male and Female Champions following the two day event.
Smith won the Boys Under 19 Final in straight sets defeating Kion Knights 11-4, 11-6, 11-5, Knights had a chance to be a double winner after he won the Boys Under 17 Final defeating Dylan Muldoon in a five setter 5-11, 11-6, 11-8, 5-11, 11-5.
Recording a score of 11-6, 14-12, 11-5, Keane won the Girls Under 19 Final over Susanna Armano, Armano like Knights had a chance to be a double winner after she defeated Olivia Lindsey in the Girls Under 17 Final in straight sets 11-6, 11-9, 11-7.
Anaya Smith the younger brother of Nazhir Smith won two titles on the day capturing the Boys Under 15 title and the Boys Under 13 Title.
